I wanted to ride my motorcycle over the Olympic Peninsula to photograph Ruby Beach at sunset and needed a place to stay. I found Cycle Camp which is a motorcycle and bicycle only camping area, which is actual his home. He bought the property 20+ years ago and have developed it over time to be a haven for two wheeled travelers. What a cool old hippie (his word) with an amazing life story.

We met Randy in Goldendale while taking a walk after dinner. His story was quite involved with lots of science (Chemical Engineer) and entrepreneurship (He helped start or joined multiple businesses in their early days.) He's a kindred spirit with a love for cycling, photography and LPs.
